Chad J. Reynolds - Director of Bands
Chad J. Reynolds, a music educator from Atlanta, Georgia, was appointed Director of Bands of Whitewater High School in the summer of 2021. Mr. Reynolds, a eighteen year teaching veteran of Georgia Public Schools, also served as the Visual Caption Head for Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps for ten years. He is also the lead conductor of the Whitewater High School Wind Ensemble and Jazz Catz. Prior to his appointment Whitewater High School, Mr. Reynolds held band director positions at Newnan High School, Evans Middle School and Pike County High School. Mr. Reynolds marched lead baritone with the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps and trombone with the University of Georgia Redcoat Band. He graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and again in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Music Education. Mr. Reynolds works as a program coordinator, marching band consultant, adjudicator, and clinician for band programs across the Eastern United States. He serves on the GIPA Board and held a position on the WGI Winds Advisory Board for three years. He holds professional affiliations with Georgia Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Education, the National Band Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. Mr. Reynolds is a native of McDonough, Georgia and currently resides in Hollonville, Georgia.

Alex Swindle - Assistant Band Director
Alex Swindle joined Whitewater High School as Assistant Band Director in the summer of 2021. Mr. Swindle is a native of Memphis, Tennessee, and he attended the University of West Georgia where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Music Education. During his undergraduate studies at UWG, he performed with the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Brass Ensemble, Tuba Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Concert Choir, and Chamber Singers. Mr. Swindle is currently a graduate student at the University of West Georgia studying Euphonium Performance. Mr. Swindle also served on the music and visual staffs for Atlanta CV Drum & Bugle Corps and the brass staff for Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps. Prior to Whitewater High School, he taught at Villa Rica Middle and High schools and served on staff with multiple Atlanta-area high school music programs. Mr. Swindle was a performing member of Spirit of Atlanta from 2008 to 2011 where he served as a euphonium soloist, horn sergeant, and drum major, and he has also served as the principal euphonium for Atlanta's Tara Winds, S.F. Nova Aliança based in San Jose, CA, and the University of Arkansas Wind Ensemble. His professional affiliations include the Georgia Music Educators Association, the National Association for Music Education, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity.
